The membership of the association is open to any medically qualified person, who has undergone:

• Any formal course in epidemiology or degree/ diploma in Public Health; OR
• A person who has contributed more than 5 years to the science of epidemiology; OR
• All officers/officials, working in State or Central Government organizations/agencies having five years experience of working with designation as epidemiologist.

NOTE: For life membership, any interested person has to apply in a prescribed format with a membership fee of Rs. 2000 (cheque/ DD/ NEFT/ RTGS in favor of the Indian Association of Epidemiologists). Approval of membership will be accorded by the executive committee of IAE after review of the application.

Benefits of the life membership

Every member shall have a right to participate in the general body meeting and shall also be entitled to inspect the records of the association with prior approval of the governing body. Besides this, he/she shall also have the right to vote in the meetings of the association. Every member shall be entitled to participate in the meetings, conferences, functions, and get-togethers organized by the association. Every member shall receive timely information about all activities of the association.
